Hour 1

Announcers: Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay & Larry Zbyszko 

- Tony welcomes us to pro wrestling's hottest show, Monday Nitro. The Nitro Girls dance to get us fired up as Tony runs down the card for tonight and the announced matches for Halloween Havoc. Lots of talk about the epic Savage/Page feud that was raging on, including a video recap.

- Diamond Dallas Page vs. Buff Bagwell...man I love the NWO B Theme music...Vincent is with Buff...DDP tells Kimberly to stay in the back, which Larry is a proponent of...talk about the versatility of the Diamond Cutter and psychology of the match based around it...Raven and Stevie Richards are sitting in the crowd watching...DDP controls for a while before Buff can finally take over...talk about Larry being a guest ref at HH...Tony wants him to cheat in WCW's favor...crowd is hot and behind DDP...Buff dodges the Cutter and maintains control...the ref goes down and Vincent gets involved, but Page fights them off and drops them both with Cutters for the win...crowd was manic for Page here, man was he over...good opener...DDP leaves through the crowd, passing right by Raven and Stevie

- Tony tells us about Mike Tenay's recent trip to Mexico, where he spent time studying lucha libre...we get a special video report, recapping his trip and setting up future videos that will break down what he learned

- Rey Mysterio, Jr. vs. El Caliente...Tenay talks more about his trip...Tony and Tenay both agree that Rey is the best luchador out there today...talk about his recovery from his knee injury as well...Caliente assaults Rey off the bell and beats him down...Tenay has never heard of Caliente...the announcers are starting to think something peculiar is going on based on Caliente's moveset and look...Larry thinks Rey should be more careful to avoid serious injury...Caliente is trying to unmask Rey, which leads to a chat about that lack of respect...Tenay and Tony think Caliente's move set looks quite like Eddie Guerrero's and the fans seem to agree...they are basically outing Caliente as Eddie now...Rey ends up stealing the win with a flash pin...he pulls Caliente's mask off and reveals Eddie

- Gene Okerlund is in the aisle and brings the Giant out...they talk about his match with Curt Hennig later tonight...crowd loves the Giant quite a bit...he calls out Hennig for his actions at War Games, turning on Ric Flair...he is coming for payback...as we are going to break, the cameras catch Sting roaming the crowd

- Bill Goldberg vs. Barbarian...interesting match here...talk about Goldberg's debut last week in which he upset Hugh Morrus in a surprising win...Tenay gives us some notes on Goldberg's past...Goldberg is impressive off the bell...Barbarian gets some offense in as the match continues on...some talk about Sting...Tenay wonders if Rey's win earlier will earn him a title shot...back in the ring, Goldberg picks up the win for another upset...he has some generic music at this point

- Gene tries to catch up with Goldberg to chat, but Goldberg refuses to talk for the second straight week...Gene switches gears and brings Larry over to talk instead...he talks about his role as special referee and why Commissioner Piper chose him...Larry says he won't cheat because it only would rob Lex Luger and WCW of a clean victory

- The Nitro Girls dance back from break as Tony runs down upcoming towns for Nitro...Tony calls for Nitro Party tapes as well...Tony apologizes for walking out of the booth two weeks ago after the NWO parodied the Horsemen...tells us that Ric Flair will give us a major announcement about his career later tonight

- Juventud Guerrera vs. Disco Inferno (c) for the TV Title...more great theme music as Juvy comes out...speculation about Flair's future and his announcement...Tony still can't believe that Disco is carrying gold...Tenay says when Disco is focused, he can be successful...he also says this is the biggest match of Juvy's WCW career...Larry and Tenay compare Disco to former wrestler Ricki Starr...Juvy looks good early and takes it to the champ...Disco takes over and stomps Juvy into the mat...Alex Wright saunters out to watch the match, looking gawdy as ever...Wright helps Juyy stay alive...Juvy almost steals a win...now Jacqueline is out and arguing with Wright...Jackie helps Disco, tripping Juvy, and allowing Disco to retain his title...lots of confusion here but good segment

Hour Two

Announcers: Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay & Bobby Heenan 

- Hour Two kicks off with the NWO theme music as Randy Savage and Elizabeth make their way out onto the ramp...Savage calls out Piper and tells him not to get too creative with his match against Page at HH...he will kill the monster he created...he calls out Sting too...I love NWO era Savage...great stuff here

- Jeff Jarrett vs. Steve McMichael...former teammates explode here...talk about Sting and his random appearances around the country...Debra is with JJ as usual...huge pop for the Horsemen music...announcers think the NWO is flustered by Piper and Sting...Bobby says Mongo needs to keep his mind off Debra...talk about the disintegration of the McMichael family...they have split up now so Debra could focus on her career...Tenay reminds us that Mongo defeated Jarrett for the US title at the last Clash...the slugfest spills to the floor as they continue to just brawl with each other...Debra helps JJ out during the match...more chatter about War Games and the Horsemen issues...announcers really push Mongo's tenacity and guts...I admit it, I was a Mongo mark at this point as he worked hard and had a lot of charisma...JJ blocks the Tombstone with a jawbreaker and starts to work the knee...Debra distracts Mongo as they argue on the apron...she slaps him and JJ takes advantage to get the win...good drama and heat here

- More talk about Sting destroying the NWO by the announcers

- The Nitro Girls dance in from break as Tony runs down more cards...clips from last week when Scott Hall abused Mark Curtis

- Syxx vs. Chris Jericho...Syxx is with Hall, who is hobbling on crutches...Hall does his usual on the stick and then talks about his match with Lex Luger at HH, saying he will be fine to take him apart...he issues a warning to Larry and his other old school buddies...Jericho is out and the match is on...Tony talks about the lack of respect for authority by the NWO...they then talk about the Hogan/Piper cage match...Tenay tells us that Jericho has just returned from his thirtieth tour of Japan...Jericho goes for the Liontamer, but Hall distracts him, allowing Syxx to hook the Buzzkiller...Hall bullies Scott Dickinson as Syxx keeps cranking away...Larry finally hits the ring and pulls Syxx off Jericho...the crowd is going crazy as Larry is calling for a fight...Lex Luger comes out now to even up the sides and things end in a stand off

- Tony brings Ric Flair in via phone from Charlotte...Tony asks how Flair is doing physically...Flair is hurting but doesn't want to take up too much time...Flair says he started thinking about his future and considered Tony and Larry's words as well...he thanks Hennig for giving Flair the wake up call that he has needed, to snap him out of complacency and being caught off guard...Flair vows he will be right back in Hennig's face as soon as he is cleared to be back...he calls out Hogan as well and says he will get his robe back...he says Arn is down for good and he thanks Benoit & McMichael for watching Flair's back...Benoit deserves freedom from being concerned about Flair because he is so talented...he tells Mongo he is very talented too but he should be on his own so he doesn't have to worry about protecting Flair either...Flair officially disbands the Horsemen so they can have their freedom...Flair promises immoral and illegal revenge...great, great stuff from Natch

- We get clips from Nitro Parties at Brown University...followed by the NWO music filling the arena as Eric Bischoff arrives...he talks shit about Sting showing up when Hogan isn't in the arena after Hogan has been challenging him for weeks...Eric thinks Sting's appearances are collusion between Sting and Piper...he dares Sting to show up at HH and that is it

- Wrath vs. Lex Luger...Wrath and Vandenberg are out first, followed by Lex...Tony talks about how hot a year Lex has had...he tells us that Mongo and Jarrett are still brawling backstage and that the two men will face off at HH now...Wrath gets a lot of offense here, really controlling Lex...Lex comes back and racks Wrath to grab the win

- The Nitro Girls kill a few minutes with a dance as we reset for our big main event...Eric Bischoff makes his way to the announce table and takes over Heenan's spot

- Curt Hennig vs. Giant...Bischoff teases Tony about Flair...Hennig is out first and looks great...Giant out next to a big pop...they argue some about Hogan, Sting and Piper as Giant tosses Hennig around...Hennig fights back and in one of the greatest spots in WCW history, Hennig hooks Giant and takes him over with the Hennig-Plex...Giant kicks out, hits a chokeslam but before he can win, the NWA breaks things up and triggers a brawl...Giant takes a big beatdown by the entire NWO...Sting marches to the ring as the crowd is going ballistic...he fights off the whole NWO...Bischoff is calling out Piper for losing control...what a wild scene...awesome end to a fun show
